On November 5th, 2022, the International Stroke Conference 2022 was grandly held at the Grand Plaza Hotel in Hanoi. The Ministry of Health was represented by Deputy Minister Tran Van Thuan; Prof. Dr. Pham Van Tac, Vice Chairman of the National Medical Council, Director of the Science, Technology, and Training Department. Novamed Vietnam also participated as a co-sponsor of activities within the framework of the conference.
The conference brought together scientists in the field of stroke, including experts, professors, doctors, researchers from hospitals and medical universities across the country, as well as many foreign speakers who are stroke specialists from countries such as the UK, Austria, Australia, Spain, and Japan, along with 1,500 attendees from around the nation, including 700 attending online.
The conference content included the latest updates on diagnosis, treatment, cerebral artery intervention, and specialized techniques related to stroke, with practical applications in clinical settings. The conference sessions promised to be vibrant and engaging, providing new and valuable knowledge.
The conference also provided an opportunity for the University of Medicine and Pharmacy – National University of Hanoi to announce the establishment of the Stroke and Cerebrovascular Diseases Department, based on the foundation of the Stroke Center at Bach Mai Hospital. This is the first specialized training department of its kind nationwide.
Novamed Vietnam successfully introduced advanced solutions related to home ICU installations, as well as specialized solutions for stroke and post-stroke patients.
This solution has been implemented in developed countries worldwide, with the aim of providing patients with greater comfort and quick response to various situations. Installing an ICU room at home is considered more convenient than receiving direct treatment at specialized hospitals, as it reduces the treatment load on hospitals, prevents cross-infection, and brings patients closer to their loved ones.
Technically, the range of products for home ICUs is comprehensive, covering air systems, ventilators, hospital beds, monitors, electric syringe pumps, and fluid infusion machines.
Novamed Vietnam’s solution focuses on four products: intelligent cleaning robots, electric wheelchairs, patient transfer chairs, and mobile bathing equipment.
The product range originates from Alton Industry in the United States, recognized under the iCarebot brand with over 10 years of experience. These products are user-friendly and convenient for the elderly, post-stroke patients, and those unable to move or bathe on their own. With advanced and fully automated functions, these products are expected to make a breakthrough in post-stroke and post-event patient care at home.
In addition to the aforementioned equipment solutions, Novamed Vietnam also introduced the conference delegates and doctors to disposable consumable products in intensive care and emergency care from renowned global brands. Finally, we extend our congratulations to the success of the International Stroke Conference 2022 and look forward to further collaborations with the Vietnam Stroke Association in upcoming events.
